OMCTH The Grand Priory
The Grand Priory of the OMCTH is based in the United Kingdom; we are a Religious and Military Order based on the Rule of St.Bernard of Clairvaux.
We are modelled on the Poor Knights of Christ in their capacity as protectors of pilgrims and diplomats.
As a Christian Fraternity we actively promote the ideals of Chivalry in the modern world by promoting the causes of peace and human dignity, by charitable works and by living in fellowship.
We are also dedicated to the preservation of ancient churches, and the history of Religious Orders, particularly of the Knights Templar.
We are emphatically not a political organisation and do not align with any political party or cause whatsoever.
The Ethos of the Order
OMCTH is a Christian Fraternity; however we have no agenda against any other religion or those who practice other Faiths.
Our values of Chivalry and Patriotism must not be confused with Nationalism.
If you are thinking of applying to join OMCTH, please be sure that our Ethos aligns with your own.
OMCTH believes in Human Rights and Dignity as defined in legislation and enshrined in the laws of England and Wales, and will not tolerate any acts that seek to disenfranchise any and all persons.
The commandment to "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 13:34) is central to our brotherhood.
What we emphatically are is a fellowship of Knights and Dames who seek to take 900 years of history and make it relevant to the present age in the spirit of Chivalry, Faith and Charity.

Armed Forces Covenant
As both a Religious and Military Order, we wanted to show our support for all those who have served, or are currently serving in His Majesty's Armed Forces and their families.
We have several members in these categories, and are humbly grateful to them for their Service in defence of our freedoms.
The plight of Veterans is well known, with many suffering from Post Traumatic stress, tragically to the point of suicide, and others finding themselves homeless, through no fault of their own.
Currently serving Service men and women are facing ever more unstable and volatile threats to world peace, and they and their families deserve our resect and support as they prepare to defend our Realm with no thought of personal cost.
With this in mind, OMCTH is proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and pledge to actively participate in and promote any activities, charities or fundraising on behalf of Armed Forces charities.
We pledge also to provide a safe and supportive community for any veterans who join the Order.

Friends of the Order
Sometimes you come across people or organisations amongst fellow Templars who go above and beyond in supporting their community, and in building bonds of mutual respect. OMCTH are pleased to reach out the Hand of Friendship to such Organisations, and promote their endeavours.
