To enable members of the Order to plan ahead efficiently, the Grand Priory has fixed dates for Investitures which are the most significant in the Templar year and therefore every effort should be made to attend. These are the Saturday closest to June 24th, being the feast of St. John the Baptist and in memory of Grand Master Jaques de Molay who invested Knights on this date at Garway Church: and the Saturday closest to Friday 13th October, which is Templar Remembrance Day, commemorating the day when hundreds of Templars across France were simultaneously arrested on the orders of King Philip IV and which saw the Order disbanded for over 400 years.
